Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and oversight for the University’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and investment management.
• Serve on the President’s Senior Leadership Team and contribute to the execution of the University’s Strategic Plan.
• Administer administrative services including the Business Office, Student Financial Services, Public Safety, Human Resources, and Facilities.
• Prepare annual budgets and present financial recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
• Manage fund accounting, financial statements, and annual financial audits for the University and the Foundation.
• Oversee long-range planning for physical properties and manage outsourced services such as dining, bookstore, and IT.
• Supervise direct reports including the Controller and Associate Vice Presidents for Human Resources and Buildings & Grounds.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field (accounting, finance, or business management) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or business management.
• Expertise with financial software.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated integrity as a leader and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in a senior leadership role within a higher education institution.
