Vice President; Fixed Income Strategist

Responsibilities

• Deliver relative value investment analysis across Structured Products, Rates, Municipal, and Corporate Credit products.
• Optimize bank investment portfolios through complex balance sheet and investment analysis.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide quality control on financial models, publications, and client presentations.
• Integrate AI Prompt Engineering to automate data extraction from unstructured filings and enhance analytical throughput.
• Collaborate with sales, trading, and clients including portfolio managers, treasurers, and CFOs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Securities Strategies experience or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Deep structural and analytical knowledge of Fixed Income Products, specifically MBS, CMO, and CMBS.
• Ability to work in office five days per week on the Charlotte trading floor.
• Ability to complete FINRA Series SIE, 7, and 63 registrations within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expert level knowledge of bond math, bank balance sheets, and fixed income sales & trading.
• Proficiency with financial applications such as Bloomberg, Yield Book, Intex, or S&P Capital IQ.
• Experience with SQL query or Python coding.
• Proven experience in AI Prompt Engineering and assessing financial workflows for agentic feasibility.
• Progress towards or completion of the CFA designation.
