Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and maintenance of the rolling 5-year Financial Plan, annual budget, and mid-year reforecast cycles
• Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic corporate decision-making
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships to promote collaboration and effective financial planning
• Establish financial projections and monitor budget-to-actual performance reports
• Develop financial models and dashboards to track and report on key projects
• Partner with senior management to develop funding strategies and operational budgets
• Review and guide the approval process for NYCEDC-managed property budgets
• Advise on financial aspects of investments, loans, and other transactions
• Continuously improve budgeting and reporting frameworks, tools, and processes
• Coordinate with the City’s Office of Management & Budget (OMB) regarding funding

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in budgetary planning, financial analysis, or modeling
• 5+ years of experience directly managing a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with accounting software programs
• NYC residency required within 180 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a nonprofit environment
