Vice President, Engines Thesis

Responsibilities

• Develop a 5-year strategic plan and roadmap for the Engines Thesis end-state
• Define technology and manufacturing capabilities required for the dual-use UAV engine market
• Evaluate market opportunities in military and commercial UAV applications
• Drive R&D investment decisions in propulsion technologies, materials, and automation
• Provide strategic insights during the evaluation of acquisition targets
• Analyze global supply chain risks and develop contingency plans
• Develop budgets, financial plans, and performance metrics
• Recruit and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team
• Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer to implement commercial and government relations strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
• Over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or propulsion systems
• Previous P&L responsibility and experience managing budgets
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel frequently (30%+) to geographically dispersed locations
• Alignment with The Re:Build Way principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS in Engineering
• Deep knowledge of UAV technology and engine systems (internal combustion or hybrid)
• Expertise in manufacturing processes, supply chains, and regulatory environments
