Vice President, Engineering and AI Innovations

Responsibilities

• Lead software development teams responsible for AI Insights, Agent Assist, and GenAI Studio products
• Direct the evolution of AI products, expanding feature sets and enterprise capabilities
• Take end-to-end ownership from development through operations
• Define and execute long-range engineering strategy and architectural modernization
• Manage large, multi-quarter programs and cross-organizational dependencies
• Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams across backend, ML, frontend, DevOps, and SRE
• Partner with Product, Design, Sales Engineering, and Executive Leadership
• Manage budgeting, resource planning, and capacity forecasting

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in engineering management
• Experience leading engineering delivery for Customer Experience AI products (Agent Assistance, AI Agents, Conversational Analytics)
• Deep understanding of modern AI architectures including LLMs, RAG, and vector databases
• Practical experience integrating LLMs into production systems
• Expert-level proficiency in Java and JVM-based ecosystems
• Strong command of distributed systems design and microservices
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Deep knowledge of SRE principles and running 24/7 production systems at scale
• Proven track record of hiring and leading top-tier engineering talent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with applied ML for NLP, ASR/TTS, and NLU
• Expertise in security and compliance (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP)
