Vice President, DR and Scenario Testing Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the IT disaster recovery strategy in alignment with DORA and SS1-21 regulations
• Lead scenario testing, including tabletop exercises and simulation drills, to validate recovery readiness
• Oversee risk assessments and business impact analyses to prioritize critical system recovery efforts
• Coordinate with IT, business continuity, and cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive recovery procedures
• Analyze test results to identify gaps and implement corrective actions and lessons learned
• Serve as the primary point of contact for disaster recovery planning and incident response
• Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on disaster recovery practices and regulatory requirements
• Support ad-hoc out-of-hours work related to service continuity activities and DR testing

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and executing scenario testing in line with regulatory expectations
• Experience working within a highly regulated financial services environment
• Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure, including networking, virtual servers, data replication, and databases
• Experience with ITSM toolsets, specifically ServiceNow
• Strong IT project management skills (ideally PRINCE2)
• ITIL Foundation certification or higher
• Business Continuity professional qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
