Vice President, Corporate Loan Officer

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and expand relationships with commercial mortgage brokers, debt placement firms, referral partners, and sponsors
• Generate new lending opportunities through third-party referral sources and self-sourced business
• Prospect and onboard new broker and sponsor relationships through targeted outreach and networking
• Structure and evaluate financing opportunities by reviewing borrower financials and credit considerations
• Guide transactions from initial inquiry through closing as the primary point of contact
• Collaborate with Credit, Underwriting, Construction, Valuations, and Closing teams
• Prepare and present loan opportunities and approval packages for internal review
• Assist with portfolio management activities including renewals and covenant compliance
• Utilize CRM and portfolio analytics to manage relationships and monitor production
• Represent Ascent at industry conferences and networking functions

Requirements

• 5+ years originating or brokering commercial real estate, bridge, and construction loans
• Proven success in developing and growing relationships with brokers and referral partners
• Strong understanding of lending, deal structuring, and commercial real estate credit
• Track record of originating loan production while balancing credit requirements
• Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills
• Experience managing sponsor relationships throughout the loan lifecycle
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
