About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end Commodities trading technology platforms, including electronic execution, RFQ workflows, OMS, and real-time pricing
  • Define and evolve technical strategy using low-latency, event-driven architecture
  • Drive adoption of microservices, streaming, and resilient design patterns across pricing and execution flows
  • Lead multi-year technology initiatives such as OMS modernization and venue onboarding
  • Translate trading and product requirements into clear technical designs and delivery plans
  • Manage real-time integrations with trading venues, market data sources, and risk systems
  • Support production stability through root-cause analysis and close partnership with operations teams
  • Communicate roadmaps, delivery plans, and strategic tradeoffs to senior business and technology leadership

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of professional core Java development experience in Front-Office Commodities Trading
  • Solid understanding of commodities markets (Energy, Metals, Agriculture, Environmental Products) and trading workflows
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in high-stakes trading environments
  • Hands-on experience with real-time systems and performance optimization
  • Experience owning production systems with direct impact on traders
  • Strong JUnit testing skills and analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
