About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead BESS commercial activities and team to optimize revenue streams
- Develop deep understanding of wholesale power markets and battery storage regulations
- Define route to market strategies and advise on trading contract structures
- Build internal market intelligence and modeling capabilities for BESS markets
- Analyze market fundamentals, regulatory developments, and renewable penetration
- Create country-specific monetization strategies considering risk, credit, and tax
- Supervise subordinates, providing training and performance feedback
- Develop reporting strategies using big data and AI tools for asset and trading performance
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy project development or large real estate projects
- Experience in BESS commercial performance metrics
- Proven experience in managing teams
- Experience in granular budgeting
- Advanced project management and negotiation skills
- Skills in project finance, budgeting, contract administration, and legal
- Ability to manage multiple BESS projects from inception to RTB
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering, or a related energy/sustainability field
