Vice President, Closed-end Fund Accounting (Private Credit)

Responsibilities

• Supervise Assistant Vice-Presidents and Senior Managers in maintaining books and records for closed-end funds and separate accounts within the Global Private Debt Strategy.
• Oversee the monthly closing process, including pricing, portfolio data reconciliation, management fee calculations, and expense accruals.
• Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage the private deal life cycle, including initial funding, maintenance, and exits.
• Manage accounting and operations for asset transfers between managed funds and SPVs.
• Oversee cash management and the resolution of cash breaks.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting controls and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation requirements.
• Manage the delivery of projects and continuous process improvements for key deliverables.

Requirements

• 12+ years of accounting experience within the financial services industry, preferably in investment management.
• Strong knowledge of fund launches, complex structures, and hedged feeders.
• Deep understanding of investment company accounting rules and reconciliation processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation.
• Experience with Geneva and/or Geneva World Investor accounting systems.
• Experience with ARC for financial reporting and SS&C notice portals.
