About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade unified communications systems.
- Oversee migration strategies from on-premise platforms to cloud-based solutions to ensure minimal disruption.
- Manage regional and global unified communications projects, including DID porting, gateway upgrades, and E911 configuration.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering efforts and maintain detailed project schedules and contingency plans.
- Maintain audit documentation, including access control, authentication standards, and system architecture diagrams.
- Serve as an escalation point for critical incidents and coordinate resolution efforts across global time zones.
- Provide technical input for contact center infrastructure, including CRM integration and voice recording.
- Analyze compatibility and replacement strategies for legacy systems in alignment with Webex modernization efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 50 months of relevant experience in unified communications or a closely related role.
- Extensive experience with Cisco Unified Communications platforms (CUCM, Unity Connection, IM & Presence, Expressway).
- Proficiency in configuring SIP trunks, SRST, CUBE, and voice gateways.
- Deep understanding of VoIP protocols including SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP, and SRTP.
- Experience with Video Conferencing Systems such as Cisco Telepresence and Webex Room Kits.
- Strong knowledge of Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs, and NAT).
- Expertise in QoS design and troubleshooting for voice and video traffic.
- Proficiency with monitoring and troubleshooting tools like Cisco RTMT and Wireshark.
