Vice President, APAC Firmwide Chief Data Office

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of APAC data governance priorities, translating firmwide strategy into actionable roadmaps with clear outcomes.
• Manage governance forums, including steering committees and working groups, overseeing agendas, decisions, and escalation paths.
• Coordinate workstreams related to privacy, data storage, lineage, and access controls to ensure alignment with local regulatory requirements.
• Identify systemic issues, drive root-cause resolution, and manage executive communications regarding risks and dependencies.
• Define and maintain key KPIs/KRIs and executive dashboards to evidence progress and control effectiveness.
• Partner with Front Office, Technology, AI/ML, and Quant teams to drive delivery through influence across the organization.
• Lead data office-owned regulatory responses, including planning and audit-ready documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology, Data, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, risk/controls, or regulatory delivery within a leading financial institution.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional programs and driving decisions in complex environments.
• Deep understanding of data governance disciplines, including data quality, privacy, metadata, lineage, and stewardship.
• Excellent executive communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and outcome-focused messaging.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
