About the Company

Arcana is a portfolio intelligence platform used by hedge funds and asset managers to analyze performance and risk. We're rethinking the tools institutional investors rely on.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale a team of 20–30 analysts
• Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to define the roadmap for portfolio analytics
• Own quality standards for portfolio data workflows and analytics validation
• Translate complex investment processes into scalable product capabilities
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex analytical and client-related challenges
• Define team goals, operational metrics, and delivery KPIs

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in institutional investing, asset management, hedge funds, or portfolio analytics
• 5+ years of people management experience leading teams of 20+ professionals
• Deep expertise in portfolio performance measurement, attribution, and risk analytics
• Proven experience managing cross-functional initiatives with Product and Engineering teams
• Strong analytical capabilities with advanced Excel skills
• Experience managing global stakeholders across multiple time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics
• CFA designation strongly preferred; FRM or MBA is a plus
• Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI Barra, Aladdin, or Charles River
• Familiarity with Python or SQL
