About the role

Responsibilities

  • Price, execute, and manage derivatives and financing transactions for soft commodities to help launch the Agricultural Commodities business in North America
  • Actively manage non-linear and linear risk while providing fundamental market insights
  • Develop and maintain fundamental supply/demand models and marketing ideas to facilitate deals
  • Use financial and fundamental analysis to communicate effectively with Commodities Sales and clients
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to design pricing and risk management tools
  • Partner with internal groups including Market Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Commercial Banking to ensure client satisfaction and regulatory adherence
  • Mentor and coach Analysts and Associates within the team

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing an active book of Agricultural Commodity Derivatives, specifically focusing on soft commodities
  • Minimum 5 years of experience structuring and managing inventory financing transactions (deliverable and non-deliverable)
  • Deep knowledge of soft commodities and agricultural markets, including both financial and physical aspects
  • Thorough understanding of derivatives, including options, and relevant banking/risk regulations
  • Expertise in MS Excel, VBA, and Bloomberg
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment under limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing North American or Global supply/demand models across different agricultural markets
  • Experience in Livestock or Dairy markets
