About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide senior academic and administrative leadership to advance graduate education, research, and professional development.
- Assist the Dean in setting and implementing the strategic vision and priorities of the College.
- Oversee graduate academic programs, including program review, approval, modification, and assessment.
- Lead the development, interpretation, and enforcement of graduate academic policies regarding admissions, progression, and graduation.
- Support graduate student success through initiatives related to advising, mentoring, and professional development.
- Collaborate with faculty and department chairs to strengthen graduate education and support faculty development.
- Serve as the Dean’s principal delegate and act as a key liaison between the Graduate College and central administration.
Requirements
- Terminal degree required.
- Distinguished record of teaching, research, or professional practice appropriate for senior faculty appointment.
- Significant experience in graduate education administration (e.g., Graduate Program Director, Associate Dean, or Department Chair).
- Demonstrated academic leadership experience.
- Proven ability to formulate and articulate sound academic policies.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex administrative and personnel issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
