About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Site Technical Leader for vibration and condition monitoring activities to drive reliability improvements.
  • Oversee vibration data quality, diagnostic accuracy, and reporting consistency.
  • Lead technical initiatives and guide junior analysts in predictive maintenance.
  • Work closely with maintenance, operations, and reliability teams to ensure asset reliability and operational excellence.
  • Perform rotor balancing and apply mechanical corrections in the field.
  • Participate in a weekend duty rotation to provide remote or on-site support for urgent equipment evaluations.
  • Produce data-driven vibration reports supported by trend analysis and historical comparisons.

Requirements

  • ISO 18436-2 Category III Vibration Analysis certification (required).
  • 5+ years of practical experience in vibration analysis and diagnostics of complex rotating machinery.
  • Proficiency with vibration diagnostic software such as SKF @ptitude, Bently Nevada, or Emerson.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS platforms like SAP PM or IBM Maximo.
  • Ability to travel 25% within North America.
  • Physical condition suitable for field inspections in Pulp and Paper Mills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience within the Pulp & Paper industry.
  • Experience with advanced analysis techniques such as phase analysis, resonance testing, and ODS.
  • Familiarity with reliability methodologies including RCM, RCA, and FMEA.
  • Experience with multi-technology predictive maintenance, including thermography, ultrasound, and oil analysis.
