Swaybox Studios is rewriting the rulebook of visual storytelling. We collaborate with DC Studios, Warner Bros Pictures Animation, and Matt Reeves’ 6th and Idaho on revolutionary projects, bringing bold creative visions to life through hands-on artistry and performance.

Responsibilities

• Capture, log, and back up all VFX-related on-set data including HDRIs, reference photography, lidar/scans, and metadata
• Perform photography on-set for set reference, HDRIs, and cross polarization
• Conduct photogrammetry for asset texture recreation
• Perform lidar scanning to capture set placement and lighting setups
• Ingest and process all on-set data into appropriate network folders using production naming conventions
• Manage and contribute to the proprietary on-set database
• Troubleshoot data offloading equipment such as laptops, lidar scanners, and cameras
• Coordinate with editorial, camera, and VFX departments to ensure data integrity and prevent loss
• Maintain daily media reports and communicate status updates to the VFX Supervisor

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in high-end, live action VFX films or television
• Expert knowledge of photography, lenses, and lighting setups
• Proficiency with DSLR cameras and processing for photogrammetry and bracketed HDRIs
• Strong understanding of lidar scanning and data processing
• Basic knowledge of Shotgrid and RV
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cyclone Register 360 Plus for lidar scanning ingest
• Experience using Reality Scan for processing lidar scans and photogrammetry
• Experience using Rawtherapee for processing RAW data files
• Familiarity with hybrid workflows spanning traditional VFX and digital puppetry
• Basic understanding of CG workflows
• Previous experience in production coordinating
