About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patients and ensure efficient ER flow
- Maintain clear and compassionate communication with patient families
- Support veterinarians and specialists during exams and emergency procedures
- Perform technical tasks including phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and advanced anesthesia monitoring
- Execute in-house diagnostics and medical calculations
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of proven veterinary experience
- Experience in emergency, urgent care, or specialty practice preferred
- Proficiency in advanced venipuncture and IV catheterization
- Knowledge of emergency protocols, CPR, and "Fear Free" handling
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
