Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and critical care nursing including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
• Monitor patients at risk for cardiac and respiratory arrest and initiate CPR
• Conduct patient assessments and maintain detailed medical records
• Perform diagnostics including radiology, sample handling, and in-house laboratory testing
• Provide anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
• Collaborate with department teams to coordinate anesthesia protocols
• Advocate for patient well-being and comfort

Requirements

• Availability for evening, overnight, or weekend shifts
• 1-2 years of veterinary nursing experience
• Experience in ER, Urgent Care, or Specialty/Referral practice preferred
• Strong knowledge of veterinary anesthetic drugs
• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
• Strong medical math and drug calculation skills
• Excellent communication and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent certification
