Veterinary Technician Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the floor, supporting patient care, workflow, and daily floor management
• Mentor and develop technicians and assistants through coaching and performance support
• Partner closely with DVMs and hospital leadership to drive consistency in medical standards and protocols
• Support advanced medical procedures including anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics
• Manage technician scheduling needs and reinforce medical best practices
• Oversee patient restraint, laboratory procedures, radiology, and pharmacy management
• Ensure medical record accuracy, compliance, and high-quality client communication

Requirements

• 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
• High school diploma
• Strong technical skills in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead, coach, and provide feedback in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT/LVT/RVT)
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Degree in veterinary technology or a related field
