Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors with exams, procedures, and surgeries
• Perform blood draws on dogs and cats
• Administer medications and vaccinations
• Follow vaccine protocols and pharmacology guidelines
• Utilize low-stress handling and restraint techniques
• Perform patient diagnostics including lab work and imaging
• Educate clients on treatment plans, preventive care, and post-operative instructions
• Mentor and coach veterinary assistants and externs

Requirements

• Strong foundational clinical and technical skills
• Experience handling patients of various sizes and temperaments
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, team-focused mindset
• Vetspire experience is a plus
