Veterinary Technician - Oncology

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the oncology service in collaboration with the oncologist
• Assist with cancer staging, diagnostics, and treatment planning
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses
• Safely handle, prepare, and dispose of cytotoxic medications according to safety protocols
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication calculations
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Foster a positive, collaborative hospital culture

Requirements

• Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT, RVT, CVT)
• Previous veterinary oncology experience highly preferred
• Accountability and patient-first mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Fear Free Certification
• RECOVER Certification
• Experience with EzyVet and Smartflow
