Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care by conducting examinations, diagnostic procedures, and monitoring vital signs
• Perform clinical tasks including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and administering medications or vaccines
• Assist veterinarians during surgical operations and specialized procedures
• Manage patient triage, sedation monitoring, and wound care
• Maintain accurate medical records and update patient databases in a timely manner
• Ensure a sterile and safe environment by disinfecting operating areas and sterilizing instruments
• Oversee patient feeding, hygiene, and discharge processes

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working as a technician in a veterinary emergency setting
• Proficiency in triage, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement
• Ability to monitor patients during sedated procedures
• Proficiency in taking radiographs

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in emergency medicine, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting
• Certification as a CVT, LVT, RVT, or LVMT
