About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care by conducting examinations, diagnostic procedures, and monitoring vital signs
- Perform clinical tasks including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and administering medications or vaccines
- Assist veterinarians during surgical operations and specialized procedures
- Manage patient triage, sedation monitoring, and wound care
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient databases in a timely manner
- Ensure a sterile and safe environment by disinfecting operating areas and sterilizing instruments
- Oversee patient feeding, hygiene, and discharge processes
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working as a technician in a veterinary emergency setting
- Proficiency in triage, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement
- Ability to monitor patients during sedated procedures
- Proficiency in taking radiographs
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in emergency medicine, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting
- Certification as a CVT, LVT, RVT, or LVMT
