About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia services for small and large animal medicine, surgery, and specialties
  • Assist with inducing patients, maintaining catheters (peripheral, central venous, and arterial), and troubleshooting endotracheal tubes
  • Support the teaching and instruction of veterinary students and technician students
  • Assist in the assessment and emergency stabilization of patients in the emergency service
  • Maintain the anesthesia unit by cleaning equipment and stocking supplies to ensure readiness for CPCR and emergency therapy
  • Participate in on-call duties and emergency response as part of the essential personnel team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree in veterinary technology, or CVT/equivalent
  • Experience in anesthesia monitoring and patient care
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, and bending for prolonged periods
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • CVT, RVT, or LVT certification (Registered or Licensed Veterinary Technician)
