About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, including phlebotomy, catheter placement, cystocentesis, and fine-needle aspirates
- Perform anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and recovery
- Execute animal restraint using low-stress and safe techniques
- Run treatments for scheduled appointments and manage hospital flow
- Interpret medical records and accurately record client history
- Position and capture radiographs and process laboratory samples
Requirements
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
- Strong technical skills in clinical procedures and anesthesia
- Proficiency with computers in a paperless practice environment
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to maintain punctuality and attention to detail
- Ability to work in an environment with animal odors, noises, and potential exposure to waste or contagious diseases
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary setting
- Proficiency in setting up and processing laboratory tests
