About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform patient restraint and proper animal handling
- Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Assist with surgical and dental procedures
- Conduct laboratory and radiology procedures, including x-ray positioning
- Manage pharmacy tasks and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance
- Provide high-quality client education and communication
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience
- Strong knowledge of animal handling and clinical procedures
- Proficiency with common veterinary drugs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated professionalism, patience, and empathy
Preferred Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT/LVT/RVT)
- Degree in veterinary technology or a related field
- 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
