About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and client service support for the Small Animal front desk during after-hours and overnight shifts.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the LSU Small Animal emergency team, maintaining clear communication with clinicians and staff.
- Manage client information by entering data into medical records software and gathering patient history.
- Handle financial transactions, including posting charges, collecting deposits, billing, and managing receivables.
- Maintain the appearance of the lobby and ensure all paperwork is organized at the end of each shift.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree in veterinary technology, OR CVT/equivalent, OR 3 years of experience in a similar working environment.
- Proven experience in customer service roles.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to handle cash and undergo a financial history/credit check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or a CVT.
- Two years of dedicated customer service experience.
- Two years of administrative experience related to veterinary or clinical duties.
