Veterinary Surgeon (Small Species)

Responsibilities

• Perform complete physical exams and clinical evaluations of small species patients
• Diagnose diseases using clinical studies, laboratory tests, and advanced diagnostic tools
• Design and implement medical and surgical treatment plans
• Perform routine and specialized surgical procedures
• Administer vaccines, medications, and specific treatments
• Provide comprehensive dental care for small species
• Advise owners on nutrition, behavior, preventive medicine, and animal welfare
• Maintain accurate and updated medical records
• Participate in training and support for technical staff
• Stay updated on advances in small species medicine and surgery
• Comply with established clinic protocols and procedures

Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine (MVZ) or equivalent
• Availability to relocate to Playa del Carmen, Mexico
• Valid professional license
• Certified specialization in Small Species Medicine and Surgery or related fields
• Proven experience in small species clinical practice and surgery
• Solid knowledge of veterinary medicine applied to dogs and cats
• Experience performing complex medical and surgical procedures
• Advanced English (oral and written)
• Valid passport
• Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and client service skills
