About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations
  • Manage lobby flow, address client concerns, and schedule appointments
  • Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners to ensure safety and well-being
  • Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and providing information about services and products
  • Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts
  • Assist with retail sales, weighing pets, and maintaining accurate records
  • Reconcile cash drawers and perform end-of-day financial duties

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in a fast-paced, client-facing role
  • Proficiency using multiple computer systems and managing multiple phone lines
  • Experience with scheduling
  • Ability to work comfortably around sick animals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a human healthcare or veterinary medicine setting
  • Previous experience working at a front desk
