Veterinary Practice Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership to the veterinary hospital and partner with veterinarians to drive operational excellence and revenue growth.
• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to ensure high standards of patient care and an exceptional client experience.
• Manage day-to-day practice functions including staff scheduling, inventory control, equipment maintenance, and patient scheduling.
• Oversee the hiring, training, and performance management of support partners in collaboration with HR.
• Review monthly P&L reporting and partner with leadership to meet financial targets and manage costs.
• Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with retail store partners to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience working in a veterinary practice.
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills.
• Strong decision-making and delegation skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in emotional or stressful situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a veterinary practice setting.
• Previous experience with P&L management and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Assistant.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
