Veterinary Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Lead the wellness and physiotherapy department for small animals in a newly established practice.
• Provide guidance to junior veterinarians and students regarding physiotherapy and rehabilitation medicine.
• Treat various complaints including spinal issues, joint problems, and injuries to muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
• Facilitate post-surgical rehabilitation and devise exercise regimes for neurological conditions, obesity, and preventative care.
• Utilize advanced modalities such as Osteopathy, Laser Therapy, Electrotherapy (TENS), Hydrotherapy, and Shockwave therapy.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to improve patient flow strategies and contribute to business plan formulations.
• Maintain high clinical standards and foster a culture of teamwork and excellence.
• Ensure full compliance with veterinary ethics, relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing physiotherapist or in a similar role.
• Accredited physiotherapy degree and a valid professional license.
• Strong expertise in manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient assessment.
• Proven knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and pain-management expertise.
• Ability to create personalized treatment plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
