Veterinary Neurologist

About the Company

Vétérinaires Bordeaux Sud is a high-tech veterinary clinic located in Villenave d’Ornon, specializing exclusively in canine medicine and referral services. The facility spans 2,100 m² and features advanced equipment including MRI and CT scanners, supporting a multidisciplinary team of specialists across various fields such as surgery, imaging, and oncology.

Responsibilities

• Manage referred neurology cases including specialized consultations, diagnostics, and follow-up care
• Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic tests such as nerve/muscle biopsies, MRI, CT scans, and electrodiagnostics
• Define and implement medical and surgical therapeutic protocols in coordination with other departments
• Participate in multidisciplinary consultation meetings and contribute to the medical team's skill development
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses to pet owners with empathy and pedagogy
• Supervise and train junior veterinarians and veterinary technicians (ASV) on neurology best practices
• Assist in the development and structuring of the neurology department and the future veterinary hospital center

Requirements

• ECVN/ACVIM Neurology diploma or ECVN board eligibility preferred
• Or a general veterinarian with solid developed skills in neurology
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Fluency in French (written and spoken) for consultations and medical reports
