Veterinary Medical Technology Animal Care Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise student animal care activities to ensure safe, humane, and professional standards for canine, feline, and laboratory animals.
• Coordinate and organize student animal care rotations and clinical skills activities for VMT and DVM programs.
• Maintain essential compliance records, including USDA reports, animal identification, and care documentation in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act.
• Assist faculty in providing clinical and laboratory experiences while supervising students in veterinary technology and professional responsibilities.
• Manage student worker schedules, time cards, and supply ordering for animal care and laboratories.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain clean, organized, and safe instructional and animal care areas.
• Maintain student evaluations and assist with institutional, accreditation, and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology or Veterinary Nursing.
