Veterinary Externship

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with experienced veterinarians in daily patient care
• Participate in clinical decision-making, case discussions, and treatment planning
• Gain hands-on experience across a spectrum of care from gold-standard diagnostics to practical alternatives
• Develop client communication skills within a community-focused practice
• Assist with surgery and procedures aligned with personal learning goals

Requirements

• DVM student who has completed the first year of veterinary school
• Currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary medicine program
• Interest in general practice, community-focused medicine, or spectrum-of-care approaches

Benefits

• Reimbursement for eligible expenses up to $600 per week
