Veterinary ER Nurse Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the ER/ICU nursing team through coaching, training, performance management, and mentorship
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and daily departmental operations
• Partner with veterinarians, specialists, and hospital leadership to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient workflows
• Support departmental growth, operational excellence, and a positive, accountable team culture
• Coordinate training and continuing education initiatives to promote clinical excellence
• Provide clinical leadership and support daily case flow as part of a growing 24/7 emergency service

Requirements

• Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT, RVT, CVT)
• 3-5 years of emergency medicine experience
• 3-5 years of leadership experience
• At least 2 years of experience in veterinary ER/Specialty medicine
• Strong commitment to accountability and patient-first care

Preferred Qualifications

• Fear Free certification
• RECOVER certification
