About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level whole-farm consultancy and clinical veterinary services to livestock producers and agribusiness clients
- Mentor residents, early career consultants, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students
- Conduct applied research and translate findings into practical on-farm behavior changes
- Deliver continuing professional education and hands-on skills training
- Maintain high standards of clinical care and meet accreditation requirements
Requirements
- Registered veterinarian with at least 3 years of agricultural consultancy experience
- Clinical practice experience with ruminant livestock, specifically sheep and beef cattle
- Valid Australian work rights
- Ability to perform manual handling and animal restraint
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, for urgent cases
- Current vaccination status for Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, and Q fever
- Working with Children Check (to be processed upon successful application)
