Veterinary Consultant

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level whole-farm consultancy and clinical veterinary services to livestock producers and agribusiness clients
• Mentor residents, early career consultants, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students
• Conduct applied research and translate findings into practical on-farm behavior changes
• Deliver continuing professional education and hands-on skills training
• Maintain high standards of clinical care and meet accreditation requirements

Requirements

• Registered veterinarian with at least 3 years of agricultural consultancy experience
• Clinical practice experience with ruminant livestock, specifically sheep and beef cattle
• Valid Australian work rights
• Ability to perform manual handling and animal restraint
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, for urgent cases
• Current vaccination status for Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, and Q fever
• Working with Children Check (to be processed upon successful application)
