Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform pet restraint and triage incoming patients
• Collect and analyze laboratory samples
• Assist with diagnostic imaging and radiograph processing
• Manage nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases
• Administer medications and communicate treatment plans to clients
• Provide surgical preparation and anesthetic monitoring assistance

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience preferred
• Proficiency in proper pet restraint
• Ability to obtain medical histories and collect samples
• Experience with laboratory test processing and radiographs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player
• Ability to withstand unpleasant odors, noises, and potential exposure to animal waste or bites
