Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities

• Handle and restrain pets for examinations and procedures
• Record accurate medical records using appropriate veterinary terminology
• Assist the medical team with appointments, x-rays, and lab work
• Perform radiology with an understanding of appropriate fields
• Complete lab work and medical calculations as needed
• Communicate discharge instructions clearly to pet owners
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and upkeep
• Collaborate closely with Veterinarians and Technicians to deliver high-quality care

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Assistant
• Proficiency in pet handling and restraint
• Experience with medical record documentation and lab work
• Ability to perform radiology and understand medical calculations
• Strong client communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
• Strong work ethic and a forward-thinking attitude
