Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities

• Handle and restrain pets for exams
• Record accurate medical records using veterinary terminology
• Assist medical team members with appointments, x-rays, and lab work
• Perform radiology and complete lab work as needed
• Complete medical calculations and understand common veterinary medications
• Communicate discharge instructions with pet owners
• Maintain facility cleaning and upkeep

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
• Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate
• Excellent client communication skills
