Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities

• Handle and restrain pets for examinations
• Record accurate medical records using veterinary terminology
• Assist medical team members with appointments, x-rays, and lab work
• Perform radiology and complete lab work as needed
• Perform medical calculations and understand commonly used medications
• Communicate discharge instructions to pet owners
• Maintain clinic cleaning and upkeep
• Act as a brand ambassador to support local marketing efforts

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
• Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate in a team
• Excellent client communication skills
