About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care to patients, including feeding, exercising, and grooming
  • Triage patients, perform physical exams, and administer medications as directed
  • Assist doctors and technicians with patient restraint and medication administration
  • Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs
  • Operate and maintain hospital equipment such as EKGs, fluid pumps, and anesthetic monitors
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for controlled drugs
  • Maintain hospital cleanliness by cleaning equipment, kennels, and facilities
  • Greet clients and educate them regarding insurance, wellness, and medicinal plans

Requirements

  • Relevant prior experience in a veterinary environment
  • Ability to perform patient restraint and handling
  • Proficiency in maintaining medical records and laboratory testing
  • Ability to work evenings, overnights, and weekends/holidays as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Urgent care or ER experience
  • Certified, Licensed, or Registered Veterinary Technician credentials (CVT, LVT, RVT, or LVMT)
