Responsibilities
- Confidently place IV catheters and perform jugular blood draws
- Provide hands-on care and monitoring for hospitalized and critical patients
- Assist veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians during treatments and procedures
- Support patient comfort, safety, and recovery in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Help maintain an efficient and organized treatment area
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
- Proficiency in IV catheter placement and jugular blood draws
- Strong patient handling and restraint skills
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations
- Ability to participate in an overnight shift rotation
