About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgeries
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including examination rooms and surgical areas
- Perform animal restraint during examinations and medical procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient care
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to provide empathy and education regarding general care
- Manage various tasks including administering medications and managing inventory
Requirements
- 1+ years of veterinary experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Physical ability to lift and handle animals of all sizes
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
