Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgeries
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including examination rooms and surgical areas
• Perform animal restraint during examinations and medical procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient care
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to provide empathy and education regarding general care
• Manage various tasks including administering medications and managing inventory

Requirements

• 1+ years of veterinary experience
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Physical ability to lift and handle animals of all sizes
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
