Veterinarian Medical Director

Responsibilities

• Lead the medical team at Animal Medical Center San Rafael to ensure high-quality patient care
• Oversee medical excellence and maintain a collaborative, supportive clinic culture
• Manage soft-tissue surgeries including spay/neuter, mass removal, and gastropexy
• Foster long-term client relationships through compassionate, client-centered care
• Provide mentorship and leadership to technicians, assistants, and other medical staff

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university
• Proven experience in practice management or leadership roles (e.g., Lead Veterinarian, Chief of Staff, or Medical Director)
• Strong client communication and education skills
• Ability to perform soft-tissue surgeries and general preventative wellness care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a multi-doctor practice environment
• Passion for continuous professional growth and medical excellence
