About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and wellness evaluations for companion animals
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and illnesses
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for patients
- Perform routine surgical procedures and dental services
- Interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory results and radiographs
- Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and overall pet wellness
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of care
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- Active veterinary license (or ability to obtain licensure) in the state of employment
- Strong diagnostic and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
