Vétérinaire Urgentiste Nuit

Responsibilities

• Welcome and evaluate patients in emergency situations, from routine cases to life-threatening emergencies
• Manage frequent cases such as trauma, urinary syndromes, dyspnea, acute digestive issues, intoxications, wounds, or hemorrhages
• Implement stabilization and resuscitation protocols in coordination with referring veterinarians
• Perform emergency procedures including imaging, infusions, anesthesia, monitoring, and intensive care
• Ensure follow-up for overnight hospitalizations and monitor post-operative animals
• Communicate patient status to the day team to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate closely with veterinary assistants and the medical team

Requirements

• Degree from a National Veterinary School (or European equivalent) with authorization to practice in France
• Strong interest in emergency medicine and hospitalization
• Proficiency in first-line procedures: catheter placement, infusions, anesthesia, triage imaging, oxygen therapy, and wound care
• Rigorous, reactive, and able to maintain composure under pressure
• Ability to prioritize care for multiple simultaneous patients
• Strong team spirit and fluid communication skills
• Empathy and pedagogical skills for client relations in emotionally charged situations
• Beginner veterinarians are welcome with structured support provided

Specializing in referral and specialty medicine, the facility features 2,100 m² of space, 6 operating blocks, and 15 consultation rooms, supported by a multidisciplinary team of 29 veterinarians and 23 veterinary assistants.
