Vessel Handler

Responsibilities

• Tie up and release ships
• Visually inspect ships for mechanical soundness and equipment defects
• Hook up and disconnect cargo and fuelling hoses
• Operate equipment to load and unload liquid petroleum, chemical, or other products
• Inspect loading arms and hoses for leaks
• Communicate problems to the facility supervisor
• Process and complete required paperwork and documentation
• Perform warehouse tasks such as opening containers, filling orders, and inventory assistance
• Strictly follow approved methods, SOPs, and safety protocols

Requirements

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• 0-1 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to follow work instructions accurately and safely
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Petroleum Refinery field
