Vessel Fire & Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Protect people, assets, and operations within a busy shipbuilding and defence environment
• Monitor hot work activities and support safe working practices across the site
• Carry out fire safety checks and identify potential hazards
• Work closely with a variety of trades and teams to maintain a safe working environment
• Operate within vessels, confined spaces, and other challenging operational areas
• Support the delivery of fire safety standards across a nationally significant defence programme

Requirements

• British Citizen or held a British Passport for a minimum of 5 years
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
• 5 year checkable work history
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions including heat, confined spaces, and at height
• Commitment to following procedures and maintaining high safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in fire safety, emergency response, military, industrial, or security environments
