About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and control of all flexible lay equipment, including carousels, spooling towers, loading towers, vertical lay systems, reel hub drives, and tensioners
- Manage and support a team of 5 to 10 people, including supervising offshore Mechanic Foremen and Mechanics
- Prepare and execute maintenance plans, ensuring equipment reliability and continuous operation through ordinary and extraordinary repairs
- Define maintenance priorities and schedules to ensure equipment sufficiency throughout project execution
- Manage spare parts inventory by establishing minimum and maximum stock levels to prevent operational downtime
- Coordinate equipment preparation and set-up in liaison with offshore construction managers, shore teams, and flexlay equipment teams
- Provide training to mobilized operations teams on the proper use of flexible lay equipment
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering fields
- 10 years of experience as a flexible lay equipment supervisor within the oil and gas industry
- Proven expertise in SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) operations
- Advanced technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong comprehension of control system philosophies specifically applied to flexible lay equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
- Fluency in English
