Verification and Validation System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of SR-1 element requirements and verification products to ensure compliance during testing and evaluation
• Provide technical integration across engineering disciplines and cross-program elements, including risk-based oversight
• Support the Lead Systems Engineer in evaluating prime contractor deliverables and verification objectives
• Coordinate requirement verification and validation (V&V) activities, including planning, execution, and integration
• Implement Digital Engineering best practices and utilize advanced modeling tools
• Identify, describe, and communicate potential technical risks within the systems engineering processes
• Support program milestones through reviews, working groups, and trade studies

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an ABET accredited institution
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or requirement verification/validation
• Proven experience in developing systems requirements and verification strategies
• Proficiency with Digital Engineering tools such as DOORS, Jira, or MagicDraw
• Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries and engineering disciplines
• Must be a US Citizen and possess a STAR ID

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), such as OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional
• Experience with NASA Systems Engineering policies and procedures
• Knowledge of launch vehicle programmatic planning and hardware production oversight
• Experience defining and managing complex interfaces and interface requirements
